Therapeutic Foster Care offers each child a safe and nurturing environment where the child’s needs can be assessed. During the child’s stay in therapeutic foster care, a licensed foster parent will assist the child in dealing with past traumas or behavioral health challenges to have a positive influence on his/her life. The goal for therapeutic foster care is that each child returns to the biological home having made positive behavioral changes.
Support, Inc.’s Therapeutic Foster Care Program is partnering with the Together Facing the Challenge, which is an Evidence Based Practice developed by Duke University, and funded by the Duke Endowment. Support, Inc. is proud to be the first agency in North and South Carolina to achieve full certification by completing the required elements and demonstrating ongoing fidelity to the Together Facing the Challenge model.
