Become a Foster Parent in North Carolina
Becoming a licensed foster parent requires specific requirements per North Carolina laws. Amongst being able to pass a background check, being at least 21 years old and having a stable home, there are many other requirements to become a foster parent that may necessitate the help of a professional. We at Support Inc. have the resources and knowledge to help individuals become foster parents in North Carolina.
We’ve partnered with “Together Facing the Challenge,” an evidence-based model developed by Duke University and funded by the Duke Endowment to facilitate the foster care process using a model supported by empirical evidence. Support, Inc. is proud to be the first agency in North and South Carolina to achieve full certification by completing the required elements and demonstrating ongoing fidelity to the Together Facing the Challenge model.
